Introduction
常德丝弦是湖南丝弦中最为发达、影响最大的重要分支，主要流行于湖南常德沅江、澧水一带。因演唱时以扬琴、琵琶、三弦、京胡、二胡等弦乐器为伴奏乐器，且使用常德方音表演，故称“常德丝弦”。这是一种以“唱”为主、道白（说唱）穿插交替的地方曲艺。它的唱词典雅、曲调优美、唱腔系统多样，取材于历史故事和民间传说的传统曲目丰富多彩。
常德丝弦具有鲜明的地方特色和乡土气息，艺术价值较高，但目前已面临失传的风险。
Changde Sixian (Changde silk string) is the most developed and influential branch of Hunan Sixian, mainly popular in the area of Yuanjiang River and Lishui River in Changde city, Hunan Province. It is called "Changde Silk String" because it uses Changde dialect to perform accompanied by stringed instruments such as Yangqin, Pipa, Sanxian, Jinghu, and Erhu and . This is a kind of local folk art mainly featured by "singing" and complemented by Daobai (spoken parts). It is written in classical style of Chinese with beautiful tunes, diverse singing systems, and rich traditional repertoire adapted from historical stories and folklore.
Changde Sixian, showing distinctive local features and rustic flavors, is of high artistic value, but is now facing the risk of being lost.

This is a song adapted from Changde Sixian, from a band called Sisi&Fan. The creators changed the instrument for accompaniment from the traditional Chinese stringed instrument to a more modern style guitar, but the tune, singing voice and the core of Changde silk strings—Changde dialect were all retained.
